Class Sessions and Schedule

  • Please note:  not all classes are offered each season.  If you see a class your child would like to take and it is not on the schedule please contact me and we will find a time to schedule a class for your child.


                                      Current Fall Classes


Preschool  Adventures - This is a class for 3-4 year olds. Each week we will practice art, reading, writing, science, math, and small motor skills.  We will begin with a story and then create art and crafts that focus on the above skills. Come and play.

Spatter, Dribble, Paint -  We will paint, draw, build, craft and whatever else we can think to create exciting pieces of art work.

Discovery Painting- This is a class for 5-6 year olds.  We will begin exploring watercolor and acrylic painting.  We will create simple painting with basic techniques to create beautiful masterpieces. 

Art Interactions - We will use different art material to create art which can help children express their thoughts and feelings, and understand direction in a safe and supportive environment.

Art Inventions- Come discover how things work through the skills of arts and crafts.  

Painting 1,2,3 -This is a class for 6-10 year olds.  Create fun, easy pictures with acrylic and watercolor paint. We will use a variety of painting techniques while learning to mix colors and use basic painting tools.

Painting 4,5,6 - This is a class for those beginning tweens and teenagers.  We wil create fantastic pictures using watercolor and acrylics.  We will use a variety of painting techniques while learning to mix colors and use basic painting tools.

Exploring Acrylics - For the experienced painter.  We will explore painting landscapes, animals, flowers, or cartoons while we learn how to design our own pictures, mix colors and use painting tools.

Adult Art-  For adults only.  Come discover the artist in you, take some time for yourself.  Adults can pick the medium they wish to work in and we will create projects.

Squiggle, Doodle and Draw - We will cartoon, draw and doodle to create pieces of art.  Sketchbook required (8 x 10 minimum size)

                       Out of Season Classes

Mixed Media - We will experiment with pencil, charcoal, colored pencils, markers, watercolor pencils, oil pastels and chalk pastels.  We will learn and work on techniques for each medium.  Sketchbook required. (8 x 10 minimum size)

​Cartooning 1, 2,3 - We will build on our skills from beginning cartooning to create more and more cartoons.  Sketchbook required. (8 x 10 minimum size)

Drawing - We will experiment with pencil and charcoal to create drawings.  Sketchbook required. (8 x 10 minimum size)

Independent Study - (Ages 13-18) - Students can choose a project and medium of their choice to work on.  Sketchbook required. (8 x 10 minimum size)

Sculpty Clay - We will use sculpty clay to create designs and creations.

Beginning Cartooning - Learn basic techniques for creating your own cartoons with basic shapes and lines. Sketchbook required. (8 x 10 minimum size)

Kiddie Cartooning - For children 5-6 years old.  We will learn to draw cartoons with simple shapes and forms.  Sketchbook required. (8 x 10 minimum size)

Outdoor Art-  For Children 4-8 years old. Come play and imagine.  We will use a variety of materials from paper, yarn, glue, scissors, stamps, jewels, wood to paint.  We will create and make fun crafts. Class will be held outside as long as weather permits

Hammer, Pound, Build and Construct -  If you like to construct things this is the class for you!  We will use a variety of materials to build an array of art work! 

Creative Artist - We will roll, sculpt, paint, scribble, draw, glue, color etc. on glass, canvas or whatever we can think of.  Lots of fun and creativity!  This is a very messy class!  WEAR GRUBBIES!  Sketchbook required. (8 x 10 minimum size)

Class Policies and Procedures

Health Regulations
  • The studio and supplies will be sanitized daily.
  • If your child is sick with any illness, please stay home.
  • If your child or any member of your family has been exposed or has had COVID please refrain from coming to the studio for at least 10 days.
  • I do have families with special health needs, please be considerate of your fellow students and follow these regulations to help keep the environment safe.

Payment
  • For payments I accept:

  • You are welcome to pay each week, by the month or for the entire season.
  • I only charge for classes you attend.
  • I can do make-up classes please contact me to find a time that works for all of us.

General Rules
  • Please contact me if your child will be absent from class.
  • Please remember, I do not offer a drop off service, you need to register for class prior to the class.
  • Every child that comes to class needs to pay for class.
  • I give one free class for every referral. Please tell people to give your name when you refer them.
  • If you have any questions, please let me know.
  • If the schedule doesn't meet your needs, or a class is full please talk to me, hopefully we can find a time and a class that works for you.
